McLeod Ganj (also spelt McLeodGanj or McLeodganj) is a suburb of Dharamshala in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh, India. It is known as “Little Lhasa” or “Dhasa” (a short form of Dharamshala used mainly by Tibetans) because of its large population of Tibetans. The Tibetan government-in-exile is headquartered in McLeod Ganj.

Mcleodganj is known for its monasteries, museums, temples, waterfalls, lakes, and Tibetan settlements. Taking a half day city tour is one of the many interesting things to do in Mcleodganj.
Mcleodganj sightseeing tours include Namgyal Monastery, Tsuglagkhang (the residence of Dalai Lama), Bhagsu Falls & Bhagsunath Temple, and Tibetan Museum.
When to go McLeodGanj?
McLeodganj has distinct three seasons in a year, namely summers, monsoons and winters. The summer season lasts from March to June and the temperature is between 22°C to 38°C here. This is the best time to visit as the temperature is pleasant and nature is in full bloom.
Monsoon is experienced from July to September with a rainfall of 290 to 380 cm, which is the second highest in the country. Landslides are a major threat during this time, it is advisable to avoid coming here during this time.
Winters are from October to February, with December and January being the coldest. The temperature falls to -1°C during this time and there is snowfall in the region. Woollen clothing is advised throughout the year. For people who want to enjoy snowfall, winters are the best time.
A best long-term stay in McLeodGanj
